Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, His disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community!  Church members are involved in a variety of ministries.  We want to help you get connected!

Missions

Church Missions Trip Website Banner

Stovall United Methodist Church is a church that serves God through loving and ministering to others.  Our mission team strives to meet the physical and financial needs of those who have fallen on difficult times.   We believe God blesses us so we can be a blessing to others.   Our missions team leader is Scott Watts.  If you would like to serve on this team or in need of assistance, please contact him at:  swatts0710@gmail.com or leave a message with the church office  270-351-0250.

Stovall UMC Blessing Box

Stovall UMC has a blessing box posted  near our playground for anyone who is in need of non-perishable food items.  Please share this information with anyone you may know who is in need.  If you would like to donate items to the Blessing Box, please feel free to drop your items off at the Blessing Box or call the church office at 351-0250 to make arrangements to drop off your donations.  God calls us to be in ministry with one another and to help each other in times of need.  May God richly bless this ministry as we share our resources and the Father’s love with the people of northern Hardin County.

Visitation & Hospitality

Our visitation and hospitality volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.    Our goal is to help our guests feel truly welcome from their first step inside our doors till the time they depart.  Our visitation and hospitality team helps keep our guests and church members connected and informed of opportunities for service, fellowship and worship.  Marilyn Ardisson (marilyn.ardisson@twc.com) and Karen Dyson (ksdyson@twc.com) provide leadership for this ministry team.  If you would like to be a part of this ministry or would like a visit from our team or Pastor, please reach out to Marilyn or Karen or you can leave a message with the church office (270) 351-0250.

Ushers

The usher team at our church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.  Dick Ardisson (dick.ardisson @twc.com) is our point of contact for this ministry.  Please reach out to him if you would like to be a part of this ministry.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video formats. We also maintain an active Facebook page for additional church communication.  Jake Kline (klinecentral@outlook.com) and Kari Dunn (kdunn0909@gmail.com) work in our media/technology area and are always looking for volunteers to assist with this worthwhile ministry.  Let one of them know if you would like to be a part of helping Stovall United Methodist Church extend our message of love for Christ and others through the use of technology and media.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer and committed to God’s sovereignty.  Throughout the week, volunteers from our Prayer Warriors team pray for their pastor, a list of church members and any special requests.   Please reach out to Pastor Claudia  (270-401-8038)  if you have any prayer concerns or would like to be a part of the prayer ministry at Stovall United Methodist Church.
